The navigation menu on the Prolam Specifier is on the left-hand side, with some extra menus on the right top.

Depending on your device's screen size, you may need to scroll inside the menu to view all items.

The active Team Name is shown as the name of the team menu on the top right. Check our Orientation article for the place of specific menus, and see What is a Team for more details.

Your active project is shown at the top of the page and on the left-side menu as the title of the sections with links for the active project. All Calculations and Design Requests are saved under the active project.

At the top right corner, there are three drop-down menus:

• The support menu containing:
  • Information about how to contact us.
  • Link to this knowledge base.
  • Link to the main Prolam website.
• The team menu:
  • View your teams. From here, you can also:
    • Create a new team.
  • Access team settings to:
    • Edit your Team ID and Name.
    • Invite colleagues to join your team.
  • Switch between active teams.
• The user menu:
  • Update your email address and other account details.
  • Change your password.
  • Change the density of the display.
  • Log out.

The home page

• Quick links to all Calculators and Designs Requests for the current project.
• Additionally, on desktops, a list of the active team's recent activity.

Team project links

• Create a new project.
• List all the projects in your active team. From here, you can also:
  • Choose your active project.
  • Edit or copy projects.
• You can find more info about projects under Projects.

• Make changes to your current project.

Calculators

• The 'Calculators' link lists all calculators by category with images to show the application. The image includes 'PLX Portal' if portals are supported by that calculator. It is also possible to choose to view each category separately.
• Separate links for all calculators:
  • Lintels.
  • Roof Framing.
    • Includes external roof structures such as verandahs.
  • Floor Framing.
  • Posts & Piles.
    • Bracing and non-bracing options.
    • Includes decks, pergolas, and verandahs.
  • Bracing Portal Frames.
    • Calculators that support PLX portals and pre-filter results to show only portals, but it is possible to remove that filter if the results are not what you were looking for.

Saved Calculations

• The list of saved calculations on the active project (that is, calculations where you have selected 'Add to Project' for a product).
• Filter saved calculations using the filter bar and clicking 'Filter'.
• Generate Project PS1 Certificate.
• Access and download the Design Certificate History of the generated certificates for the active project.
• Edit, copy or move calculations.

Design Requests

• The 'Design Requests' link lists all the available Design Requests types with some info about each of them.
• Separate links for all Design Request types:
  • Specific Engineered Designs.
  • Exposed Trusses:
    • Standard or custom design.
• You can find more info about design requests under Specific Design Requests.

Saved Design Requests

• The list of all Design Requests submitted for the active project. From here:
  • You can view and comment on Design Requests by clicking on them.

General Specifier links

• Resource Library: Links to the Prolam Technical Library.
• Help Docs: Where you are now, the knowledge base for the specifier to help you specify engineered timber solutions with ease.
• Feedback/Ideas:
  • Vote on current new feature ideas.
  • Make a suggestion for a new idea.
• Updates: List of new features/improvements for each release.
