When creating a project, you can set the project's details along with baseline parameters for all calculations within the project. Note that at this stage, the parameters are optional and can be set directly within individual calculators, overriding, in that case, the parameters set on the project.
To create a new project, follow the steps below:
Select 'New Project' from the top section of the left-side navigation menu.
The form has three sections, while there is also some extra help on the right-hand side.
If a question has extra help, you can view that help by clicking on the question mark symbol next to the question.
Clicking anywhere on the page will discard the box with the help text.
Enter your project details in the first section. Include at least a reference, and preferably also a name, to set this project apart from other projects.
Enter the project's site parameters, such as building type, earthquake zone, etc. in the respective section.
Enter the project's building parameters, such as roof and ceiling type, cladding type, etc. in the respective section.
Click 'Create' at the bottom of the form to complete the process.
Once the project is created, you are transferred to the new project's home page and are ready to start working on it.
